To show in Milan—the heart of global design—was more than a milestone; it was a dream woven into our brand’s journey since day one. And to do it as part of Isola, a platform known for spotlighting independent, conscious, and boundary-pushing design, made it more meaningful.
From India to Italy: A Language of Material and Memory
At Sutary, our pieces are deeply rooted in Indian culture, yet speak a design language that transcends borders. For Isola, we curated a collection that embodied our core: minimal yet expressive, rooted yet modern.
Our display focused on the tactile relationship between form and function—bringing forth handmade furniture that celebrates natural materials, quiet craftsmanship, and stories etched in grain and joinery. Each piece was an ode to the everyday poetry of Indian living, reimagined for a global eye.

A Global Stage, An Intimate Moment
Showing alongside some of the most exciting contemporary designers from around the world, Sutary found itself in the company of those who, like us, believe in design with soul. The conversations, collaborations, and sheer curiosity from visitors—from Tokyo to São Paulo—reminded us of the power of authentic storytelling through design.
People paused to touch the textures. They asked about the process. They wanted to know what “Sutary” meant (art of craftmanship). And when they said, “We’ve never seen anything like this,” we knew we were exactly where we needed to be.
To the incredible team at Isola Design District—thank you for believing in emerging voices and giving us this unforgettable platform. To the new friends, collectors, and design lovers we met—your warmth, questions, and appreciation will stay with us long after the week is over.
Sutary is going global, but we’ll always be rooted in where we came from.
