Asan is an interpretive study of how we inhabit a chair, shaped by posture, presence, and behaviour. Its form draws from the symbolism of a tribal leader: commanding yet approachable, grounded yet open to conversation. The posture it creates holds a sense of authority without rigidity, allowing one to sit in contemplation, engage casually, or simply remain engrossed in thought. Asan becomes less an object of seating and more a study of the self, and how a chair can quietly shape the way we occupy space.
