Khunti is a referential narrative of the traditional khunti, a simple wooden peg that marked the transition from public to private space. Used to remove and hang the outer layer of clothing, it quietly held within it a ritual of arrival, pause, and belonging. Though modest in form, the khunti carried the weight of everyday habits and social behaviour. Khunti reinterprets this familiar architectural element into a contemporary object, retaining the ritual while giving it a new life in the modern home.
